What should I do when I receive a spam or phishing email message?

UBC has a campus-wide spam filter that is used with the cental FASmail system that support 48,000 accounts. The Department of Earth, Ocean and Atmospheric Sciences leverages the collective capability of the spam filtering service.

If you wish to contribute, you can submit samples of phishing or spam by following the steps at https://it.ubc.ca/services/email-protection-and-security/submitting-spam-and-phishing-samples

Once you have submitted a sample, the central system will incorporate that information and it will help protect our entire community.
