Password Reset or Login
If you’re having trouble successfully resetting your password or logging in, enter eoas\ before your username.
Use your EOAS credentials to login, not your CWL.
RDS (Remote Desktop Services)
You'll need the UBC VPN and an EOAS account to access RDS. Your instructor should provide you with an account if you don't already have one, otherwise please contact us at helpdesk@eoas.ubc.ca using your UBC student email address and state your course. You can download and learn how to access the VPN from here: https://it.ubc.ca/services/email-voice-internet/myvpn
With the VPN activated, access the RDS page and login with your EOAS account: https://eoas-rds.eoas.ubc.ca/RDWeb/Pages/en-US/login.aspx
To run programs from the RDS server, you'll need a remote desktop client. This is already included in Windows, but if you're on a Mac, you can download the program here.
1. Click on the program you'd like to run. This will download an RDP file for that program.
2. Open the RDP file.
3. When prompted, enter the same username and password you use to log in to the remote desktop website.
4. Wait a moment—there may be no immediate sign of activity, but the program will appear on your screen shortly.
5. To run the program again, there's no need to download it again—simply click on the previously downloaded RDP file. The VPN will still be required.
On a Mac, follow the instructions here to attach your local drive to save your work.
If you experience problems, you can email helpdesk@eoas.ubc.ca.
